THE BOOK

How the book uses the term
Entity: does the placement name the brand in a form the machines can resolve, and connect it to the people and places it belongs with. Corroboration: does the placement agree with the rest of the record, or does it add a variant the machines now have to weigh. Hooks: does the placement contain the specific facts and answers a retrieval system can hook onto when a buyer asks a question. Output: does the placement change what the machines actually say. Run every piece of coverage through those four and most of it fails on Hooks, because the paragraph is pleasant and states nothing.
The book defines it in Peter Jones: Share of Answer Is the Only PR Metric That Pays.
ADVISORY The book's wording is Hooks; Peter Victor Jones's own page says Hook. This site keeps the book's form.
Both forms are on the record.
